deepState aka Jessica Morgan is a music producer and DJ from Tāmaki Makaurau. In 2021 she released MMXXI, via NZ label Sunreturn, her self released EP Deep Summer and EP ECHOO08 via Christchurch label Echo Train - all of which carry heavy influences of 90's electronica, garage and breakbeat throughout.

2023 was a big year as Jess revealed her second album, Dreams on September 1st via Sunreturn.
The lead single ‘Won’t Let You Down’ is accompanied with cinematic visuals directed by Frances Carter.

“I wanted to make an uplifting dance track inspired by house and dance hits of the 1990's. I love the big sound of house, rave piano and vocal samples, they feel so euphoric and always add an extra layer of energy and emotion. Won’t Let You Down is probably the most upbeat track on Dreams and I feel that it stands out from the rest in that way.” — deepState

Her live sets consist of a selection of original songs, reworked, using samplers and synths. Her high energy rave/breakbeat style DJ sets pay tribute to the height of rave subculture, transporting you back in time to the warehouse dance parties of a bygone era.
